The Government of Canada selects new Chairperson of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority

Today, the Honourable Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, announced the selection of Marie Campagna as Chair of Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) Board of Directors. Ms. Campagna has been a member of the WDBA Board of Directors since 2017 and has most recently served in the role of interim Chair since May 2024.

Minister Duguid to make an announcement on Lake of the Woods funding in Winnipeg

Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Terry Duguid, Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, will make an announcement on behalf of the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for the Canada Water Agency, on Lake of the Woods funding in Winnipeg.

To rid Canada of this scourge, the Government of Canada will ensure law enforcement has every resource available to dismantle and disrupt the operations of these organizations in our communities.

Government launches new intelligence sharing partnership focused on fentanyl trafficking and other criminal use of funds

Yesterday, the Government of Canada convened the first working meeting of the new Integrated Money Laundering Intelligence Partnership (IMLIP). This new partnership will support the permissible sharing of money laundering and organized crime intelligence between law enforcement and Canada’s big banks. Canada’s newly appointed Commissioner of Canada’s Fight Against Fentanyl, Kevin Brosseau, launched the inaugural meeting and gave opening remarks.
