The Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Member of Parliament for Brome–Missisquoi, Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for CED, will announce Government of Canada financial support for the Virage vert project in Quebec’s regions being implemented by the Réseau des Société d’aide au développement des collectivités (SADC) et Centre d’aide aux entreprises (CAE). She will be accompanied for the occasion by Sophie Chatel, Member of Parliament for Pontiac.

FedNor announces $320,000 for Wakenagun Community Futures Development Corporation

The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor, and Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay–Superior North, today announced a FedNor investment of $320,000 to support the ongoing operations of the Wakenagun Community Futures Development Corporation. Specifically, this funding will enable the organization to offer community and business support services, as well as access to capital for small and medium.

Canada cuts Russia and Belarus from Most-Favoured-Nation Tariff treatment

Today, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, announced that the Government of Canada has issued the Most-Favoured-Nation Tariff Withdrawal Order (2022-1), removing these countries’ entitlement to the Most-Favoured-Nation Tariff (MFN) treatment under the Customs Tariff.

Over $1.3M for three Mauricie businesses

The governments of Canada and Quebec and Investissement Québec are announcing a total of $1,351,297 in loans to Mauricie’s Abnatura, Solutions Genyk, and Groupe CR3X/RIDD (including 9300-7490 Québec inc., Groupe CR2, and CR3X). The financial assistance will support the implementation of projects, valued at nearly $2.2 million, to acquire technological equipment.

50% child care fee reduction for families in the Northwest Territories

That is why the Government of Canada has laid out a plan to provide families in Canada with, on average, $10 a day child care for children under six years of age by March 2026. This plan will make life more affordable for families, create new jobs, get parents— especially women—back into the workforce, and grow the middle class, while giving every child a real and fair chance at success.
