Assault of an inmate at Atlantic Institution
On March 3, 2022, an inmate was assaulted at Atlantic Institution, a maximum-security federal institution. The injured inmate and the assailant were evaluated by staff members and transported to an outside hospital to receive treatment. Both inmates have since returned to the institution.
