Canada and Ontario invest in community skating trail for Whitchurch-Stouffville residents

Today, Helena Jaczek, Member of Parliament for Markham-Stouffville, on behalf of the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; The Honourable Paul Calandra, Member of Provincial Parliament for Markham–Stouffville; and His Worship Iain Lovatt, Mayor of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, announced joint funding for the construction of a multi-season trail in Whitchurch-Stouffville that will be used for skating during winter.

Canada Invests in Nine Community-Led Indigenous Clean Energy Projects Across British Columbia

This program also supports community-level capacity building to increase clean energy opportunities, including renewables and energy efficiency, and contribute to reducing diesel reliance in rural and/or remote communities.

Canada Invests in Reducing Emissions for Quebec Trucking Company

Government of Canada Invests $46 Million to Expand Virtual Health Care Services in Ontario

Backgrounder: Residents of Saskatoon area to benefit from upgrades to water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure, and other community and green infrastructure projects

Funding through the Investing in Canada plan will support 11 infrastructure projects in Saskatoon and area. The Government of Canada is investing more than $41.1 million in these projects, with the Government of Saskatchewan providing over $34.3 million. The City of Saskatoon is providing $25.8 million to support seven of these projects. The remaining projects are funded by other recipients. In total, this represents a combined infrastructure investment of more than $102 million. Funding recipients are responsible for any additional project costs.

Government of Canada invests over $481,000 to bring high-speed Internet to 1,230 homes in rural Newfoundland and Labrador through the Universal Broadband Fund

Today, Gudie Hutchings, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development, and Member of Parliament for Long Range Mountains, on behalf of the Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development, announced over $481,000 in federal funding to bring high-speed Internet to rural residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, with an additional investment of nearly $183,000 from Aldera Communications. This project will help connect 1,230 underserved households in the communities of Glenburnie, Birchy Head, Shoal Brook, Woody Point, St. Paul’s, Cow Head, Three Mile Rock, Parsons Pond, Portland Creek, Daniel’s Harbour and Bellburns.
