Caregivers from abroad play an important role in supporting Canadian families who are unable to find the care they need for a family member in Canada. The global COVID-19 pandemic has caused great disruption to life in Canada and around the world, including to application processing at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). We recognize that many caregivers working in Canada are waiting anxiously to be reunited with their loved ones, and they need their applications to be processed for that to happen.

The Governments of Canada and Quebec invest in seven recreational projects in the Outaouais Region

Today, Stéphane Lauzon, Member of Parliament for Argenteuil–La Petite-Nation, on behalf of the Honourable Catherine Mckenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Isabelle Charest, Minister for Education and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, announced funding of more than $3.5 million for seven projects in the Outaouais Region. They were joined by Mathieu Lacombe, Minister of Families, Minister Responsible for the Outaouais Region and Member of the National Assembly for Papineau, and Martin Lajeunesse, City Councillor and Chair of the City of Gatineau’s Recreation, Sports and Community Development Committee. With this funding, local residents will have access to modern and safe facilities that will promote an active, healthy and inclusive lifestyle.

Canada Invests in Clean Mining Technology

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on all areas of society, infrastructure projects will be crucial to the economic recovery.
