Today, Yasir Naqvi, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and to the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, and Member of Parliament for Ottawa Centre, announced over $3.9 million in funding from the Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) to the City of Ottawa for its project to support Ottawa’s most affected neighborhoods.

AI and tech businesses in Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area receive Government of Canada investments to scale, bring new products to market

Today, the Honourable Ruby Sahota, Minister of Democratic Institutions and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for southern Ontario, and the Honourable Rechie Valdez, Minister of Small Business and Member of Parliament for Mississauga–Streetsville, announced a combined investment of over $25 million to support 18 Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area artificial intelligence (AI) and tech businesses to scale up and commercialize new products and services.

Canada announces robust tariff package in response to unjustified U.S. tariffs

Today, the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs, and the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that in response to unjustified U.S. tariffs, the Government of Canada is moving forward with 25 per cent tariffs on $155 billion worth of imported goods, beginning immediately with a list of goods worth $30 billion.
