Canada announces new international climate finance funding for nature-based solutions

Over the summer months in 2020, the Government of Canada consulted representatives from domestic and international civil society organizations, academia and the private sector to help shape the future of Canada’s international climate finance for developing countries. The government also met with Indigenous peoples to gain their unique perspectives.
Innovative agricultural insurance product to strengthen Manitoba forage and livestock sectors
The Canada and Manitoba governments are investing $253,600 through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) to develop a new usage-based insurance (UBI) product, in collaboration with Dairy Farmers of Manitoba (DFM), to respond to needs expressed by forage crop growers and other stakeholders in a 2020 review of forage insurance programs, federal Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South Terry Duguid and Manitoba Agriculture Minister Derek Johnson announced today.

Federal government announces an investment in public transit systems across Canada
