Tribunal Initiates Inquiry—Oil Country Tubular Goods from Austria

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal today initiated a preliminary injury inquiry into a complaint by Algoma Tubes Inc., of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Prudential Steel ULC, of Calgary, Alberta, Tenaris Global Services (Canada) Inc., of Calgary, Alberta, and Hydril Canadian Company LP, of Nisku, Alberta, collectively referred to as “Tenaris Canada”, that they have suffered injury as a result of the dumping of oil country tubular goods from the Republic of Austria. The Tribunal’s inquiry is conducted pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) as a result of the initiation of a dumping investigation by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Canada and Quebec invest in 176 infrastructure projects to improve facilities at post‑secondary institutions in the province 

Today, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Danielle McCann, Minister of Higher Education, announced a total of $220 million in joint funding for these 176 infrastructure projects. The Government of Canada is investing over $144.3 million through the new COVID-19 Resilience stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The Government of Quebec is also contributing more than $75,7 million.
