Government of Canada announces contract award for the construction of the River-class destroyers for the Royal Canadian Navy

Today, the Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Quebec Lieutenant, and the Honourable Darren Fisher, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, announced the implementation contract award to Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI) for the construction of the River-class destroyers (RCD).

Manitoba has confirmed that the human remains found in the Prairie Green Landfill have been identified as those of Morgan Harris of Long Plain First Nation. This is both heartbreaking and horrific. This loss of precious life is tragic. Jody Brennan has over three decades of experience working in various public-facing fields, including in the military, teaching, the Canadian public service, and the Alberta Court and Justice Services.
