On August 27, 2025, the Honourable Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada, on behalf of the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced nearly $22.7 million for eight projects aimed at improving electric vehicle (EV) charging availability in British Columbia.

Government of Canada Invests $33 Million in Indigenous-Owned Solar Project in Saskatchewan

Canada is working in partnership with the George Gordon First Nation through Wicehtowak Solar Ltd. to accelerate the development of clean and reliable power for Canadians. Today, the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced over $33 million in new resources that will help the George Gordon First Nation, through Wicehtowak Solar Ltd., build the Wicehtowak Solar Project, an Indigenous-owned solar power farm near Regina, Saskatchewan.

Government of Canada to announce funding for improvements to Arctic ground search and rescue
