Government of Canada Invests in Projects that Raise Awareness of Dementia and Promote Dementia-inclusive Communities

The Public Health Agency of Canada is providing more than $9.5 million for 15 projects across the country. These projects, which support the implementation of Canada’s national dementia strategy, will raise awareness about dementia with a focus on reducing risk and stigma, improving the quality of life of people living with dementia and family/friend caregivers, and enabling dementia-inclusive communities.

Canada announces strengthening of trade relations with Ukraine

Today, on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Ukraine, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, joined by Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, and Yvan Baker, Chair of the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group, met with Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, where they committed to further strengthening bilateral relations through trade.

Competition Bureau preserves competition in sale of crop inputs in Lipton, Saskatchewan

The Competition Bureau has approved ProSoils Inc. as the buyer of Blair’s Family of Companies’ retail crop input facility in Lipton, Saskatchewan. This transaction closed on January 28, 2022. In July 2021, the Bureau, Blair’s and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) reached an agreement that required the companies to sell the Blair’s Lipton facility, as well as two nearby anhydrous ammonia facilities, to resolve competition issues related to their proposed joint venture.
