In her 2021 Annual Report, the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada Dr. Theresa Tam outlined her vision to transform public health in Canada. To help achieve this vision and revitalize public systems across the country, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) are collaborating to support research initiatives that respond to priorities identified in the CPHO’s report, which were partly informed by a broad national dialogue convened by the CIHR Institute of Population and Public Health.
