Government of Canada contributes to major clean energy projects in Indigenous communities in Quebec

Brendan Hanley, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs, on behalf of the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced nearly $17 million in federal funding to support the 7.5-megawatt (MW) Innavik Remote Hydro Project, located in Inukjuak, and to explore the development of a 17-MW hydroelectric power plant at the site of the Matawin dam near St-Michel-des Saints, both in Quebec.

Canada installs 157 new electric vehicle chargers for Atlantic Canadians

Kody Blois, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, on behalf of the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced over $5 million in federal funding for five projects through Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). These investments will make it easier for people and businesses in Atlantic Canada to switch to EVs by building chargers where Canadians live, work, and travel.
