Canada and FCM invest in asset management in Nova Scotia communities

This is why the Government of Canada is investing $100,000 in two new projects in Nova Scotia communities through the Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP), delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities on behalf of the federal government. The program helps municipalities strengthen local infrastructure planning and decision-making by increasing local asset management capacity through investments in activities such as asset management training, technology and software enhancements and information sharing.

Government collaboration supporting the future of Alberta’s clean hydrogen sector  

Today, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, the Honourable Jason Kenney, Premier of Alberta, and His Worship Don Iveson, Mayor of Edmonton, announced that their governments are working closely with Air Products Canada Ltd. to advance clean energy in Canada and jointly pursue a transformative $1.3 billion net-zero hydrogen production investment. The clean hydrogen facility would be operational by 2024, a first-mover anchor to secure Canada’s early foothold in the global hydrogen market, pending further discussions and a final scope decision from the company.

Government of Canada invests over $289,000 to bring high-speed Internet to 601 more homes in Crysler and St-Albert

Today, Francis Drouin, Member of Parliament for Glengarry–Prescott–Russell, on behalf of the Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development, announced over $289,000 in federal funding to bring high-speed Internet to 601 underserved households in the communities of Crysler and St-Albert, Ontario. Bell Canada is investing an additional $867,000 in this project.
