The government of Canada and the government of Quebec announced the addition of organic businesses to the groups eligible for the increase in maximum assistance

The Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Marie-Claude Bibeau, and Quebec’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, André Lamontagne, announced that businesses under organic production or in transition to organic production are now also eligible for the increase in the maximum assistance granted under the Advisory Services Program to simplify access to assistance measures and to increase the impact on agricultural and agri-food businesses.

The Government of Canada invests in plastics science research to further understand environmental threats

Today, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, and Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, announced that the Government of Canada is providing close to $7 million to support seven science-based research projects. The Governments of Canada and Quebec Provide Funding for 12 Recreational and Sports Projects in the Bas-Saint-Laurent Region  

Today, the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, acting on behalf of the Honourable Catherine McKenna, federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Isabelle Charest, Quebec’s Junior Education Minister and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, announced over $7.5 million in funding for 12 projects in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. They were joined by Caroline Proulx, Minister of Tourism, Minister responsible for the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Lanaudière regions, and MNA for Berthier, as well as the Mayor of Amqui, Pierre D’Amours. This funding will allow the population of the region to have access to modern and safe facilities that will promote an active, healthy and inclusive lifestyle.
