Announcement of new diplomatic appointments: Rachael Bedlington and Christopher Cooter

The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointments: Rachael Bedlington becomes Consul General in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (People’s Republic of China). Ms. Bedlington replaces Jeff Nankivell. Christopher Cooter becomes High Commissioner in the Republic of South Africa. Mr. Cooter replaces Sandra McCardell.

Government of Canada makes rapid antigen tests available to more small and medium-sized organizations through new pharmacy partners 

Today, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health, announced that more than 2000 local pharmacies have registered to distribute rapid antigen tests to small and medium-sized businesses and non-profit organizations – this includes independent pharmacies, Rexall, Sobeys and Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
