Tribunal Initiates Final Injury Inquiry—Certain Upholstered Domestic Seating from China and Vietnam

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal today initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping and subsidizing of certain upholstered domestic seating, originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, have caused injury or retardation, or are threatening to cause injury. This final injury inquiry was initiated further to a notice received from the Canada Border Services Agency stating that preliminary determinations had been made respecting the dumping and subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods.

Backgrounder: Canada and Saskatchewan announce over $50M investment for 55 infrastructure projects across the province  

The Government of Canada is investing more than $21.2 million in 55 projects under the new COVID-19 Resilience Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The Government of Saskatchewan is contributing over $16.4 million. Contributions by recipients toward their respective projects are $12.5 million. In total, this represents a combined infrastructure investment of more than $50.2 million. Funding recipients are responsible for any additional project costs.
