Minister Bibeau launches program to create 2,000 youth jobs in the agriculture sector

Today, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, and the Member of Parliament for Glengarry–Prescott–Russell, Francis Drouin, hosted a virtual event to announce an investment of up to $21.4 million to enhance the Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP) and fund about 2,000 jobs for youth in the agriculture sector.

Government of Canada continues to take action to support people with chronic pain

Today, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health, announced the release of the Canadian Pain Task Force’s (CPTF) third and final report — "An Action Plan for Pain in Canada". The Minister also announced $2.8 million in funding for the Centre of Effective Practice for a project that will help provide support and access to care for people living with chronic pain.

Junior Astronauts: Yellowknife and Inuvik winners in the Northwest Territories

On May 6, 2021, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen will speak to students from Weledeh Catholic School and students in the Inuvik Robotics and Engineering Club. These organizations won this visit from an astronaut through the Junior Astronauts campaign. Jeremy Hansen will share his story, talk about his career as an astronaut, and answer their questions.
